Arsenal receive transfer boost after Barcelona decide to sell £26m star Arda Turan following meeting between Valverde and director
Barcelona manager Ernesto Valverde and club director Albert Soler recently held a meeting to decide the summer transfer policy.
Turkish sports newspaper AMK claim that following the meeting it was decided that Barcelona are open to the sale of Turan.
Offers will be considered for the former Turkish international star this summer.
The news will come as a transfer boost to Arsenal and Inter Milan who have been closely linked with Turan.
Barcelona reportedly want £26 million for the experienced attacking midfielder according to ESPN.
Per the source, the Gunners are interested in a summer move.
Turan’s agent Ahmet Bulut has denied holding talks with clubs over a summer move but he was recently spotted with Inter director.
Arsenal are currently the bookmakers favourites to sign the Turkish international.
Turan has another three years remaining on his contract and scored 13 goals while providing seven assists in all competitions for Barcelona.
The 30-year-old has had a turbulent few weeks and recently retired from international football after assaulting a reporter on the team plane following the goalless draw against Macedonia.
