Arsenal will not be selling Colombian international David Ospina according to Beşiktaş board member Erdal Torunoğulları.
Beşiktaş president Fikret Orman had confirmed interest in the Arsenal goalkeeper but Torunoğulları revealed that the north London based club have ruled out a move.
Torunoğulları said: “David Ospina is Arsenal’s second choice keeper and they are not letting him go in January there is no chance of this.”
Ospina fell down the pecking order at Arsenal following the signing of Petr Cech but he was expected to get some playing time after Wojciech Szczęsny was loaned out to Roma.
Despite not getting much playing time season the Gunners are unlikely to part ways with Ospina as he is currently their second choice goalkeeper.
The Black Eagles are in the market for a new keeper following a string of errors from first choice goalkeeper Tolga Zengin.
In fact Beşiktaş manager Şenol Güneş went as far as to drop Zengin for the Istanbul derby against Galatasaray last week which ended in a 2-1 victory to the Eagles however, the goal conceded came from yet another goalkeeping error.
Beşiktaş are currently first in the Turkish Super League and managed by former Turkish national team head coach Şenol Güneş.
