Arsenal Star Completes Medical Ahead Of £20m Everton Move, Cenk Tosun Set To Receive Attacking Partner

Arsenal forward Theo Walcott underwent a medical at Everton on Tuesday afternoon ahead of a prospective move worth an estimated £20 million.

The BBC reported earlier today that Walcott was nearing a £20 million move to the Toffees once his medical was completed.

Walcott will join Cenk Tosun who joined from Besiktas last Friday.

Everton manager Sam Allardyce feels the England international is actually a less risky transfer than the Turkey international as he is proven in the Premier League.

“Theo’s not as risky [as Tosun] because he’s proven,” Allardyce said on Friday. “He’s scored 100 goals for Arsenal from wide positions as well as many assists.

“His pace is one of his key strengths which we lack in this squad. His assists are pretty good as well as his goals.

“We are short of goals so to add power in our goalscoring ability would be very important for me.”

Everton have struggled for goals this season and have made strengthening the attack a priority.

The Toffees have scored just two goals in their last six games – failing to win any of them.

Walcott would probably start out on the flanks with Tosun as the centre-forward and Bolasie out wide.

Allardyce remains unsure as to where he will end up playing the 28-year-old.
