Arsenal star Mesut Ozil can 'become even stronger' says Arsene Wenger

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has said that he is impressed with Mesut Ozil’s goal against Bouremouth yesterday afternoon.

The 27-year-old scored with his un-favoured right foot to give the Gunners the lead yesterday in their 2-0 win.

“He scored with his right foot which is very interesting for us. If he scores with his right foot he will become even stronger,” Wenger said after the game.

Ozil has now scored six goals in 30 appearances for Arsenal this season. The Germany international is renowned for his high assist rate but has struggled in terms of goal scoring in recent years.

While at the Real Madrid, Ozil scored 27 goals in 159 appearances and netted 16 goals in 108 appearances for Werder Bremen.

The 27-year-old also provided two key passes, took one shot on target and maintained a passing accuracy of 93%. Ozil had the highest pass percentage of the match after making a total of 53 passes.

Arsenal kept their 22 unbeaten streak against newly promoted Premier League opposition following the win. The north London based side takes on league leaders Leicester Ciy this weekend.
