Mesut Ozil took to social media after Germany’s emphatic 4-1 victory over Italy in last night’s international friendly.
The 27-year-old played a key role in his sides win and also got himself on the scoresheet.
Ozil uploaded a picture of himself celebrating the victory on the team coach after the game. The Arsenal man included the following caption, “Happy team after this great match!”
Germany were in ruthless form and were ahead after 24 minutes via a strike from Tony Kroos. Mario Gotze doubled the German’s lead shortly before half time.
Hector put Germany 3-0 ahead after 59 minutes while Ozil got on the score sheet in the 75th after converting from the penalty spot.
El Shaarawy scored a consolation goal for the visitors seven minutes from full time.
The 27-year-old has 19 assists and seven goals in 38 appearances for Arsenal in all competitions this season.
