Arsenal Team news: Star Player Will Miss Arsene Wenger’s Final Game

Arsenal take on Huddersfield in Arsene Wenger’s final game of the season at the John Smith’s Stadium on Sunday.

The Gunners have yet to pick up a single point away from home in 2018 in the Premier League.

Playmaker of Turkish origin Mesut Ozil will miss Wenger’s final match due to a back problem.

Martin Keown had accused of missing the final league games due to having a mental breakdown.

Ozil’s agent hit back with a scathing attack on Keown, defending his client.

“I think that Martin Keown feels that just because he used to play football, it gives him the right to attack the current generation of stars,” the agent told Goal.
“Perhaps he just wants to remain relevant, or maybe it is due to jealousy?,” Sogut said.

He went onto say: “Since then, he has remained an outsider from the club – he has very little knowledge of the internal events at the club, and is in no position to comment with such confidence. Does he have access to medical records… no.”

Sogut wrapped up his rant by saying: “Mesut wants to lead this club forward while you try to divide the club to keep yourself in the public eye and relevant with stupid, incorrect comments.

“You joke Mesut will have an ’emotional breakdown’. Do you think it is funny to joke about mental health?”

Ozil is expected to recover in time for the World Cup in Russia this summer.

Wenger will also be without the suspended Konstantinos Mavropanos who was shown a straight red card in midweek and will be forced to sit out the game having started the the North London based sides last three league matches.

Mohamed Elneny (ankle), Laurent Koscielny and Santi Cazorla (both Achilles) have also been ruled out.

Alexandre Lacazette and Jack Wilshere could however, return in time for final match of the season.
