Arsenal transfer news: Barcelona offered cash and Turan in exchange for £42m Gunners star
Barcelona star midfielder Arda Turan was recently offered to Arsenal in a part-exchange deal for Mesut Ozil.
The Turkey international has been linked with a move away from the La Liga giants this summer. Turan has fallen out of favour with manager Ernesto Valvede despite having three-years remaining on his contract.
According to the Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo, Arsenal did consider selling Ozil to Barca. Per the source, Barcelona offered a cash plus Arda Turan deal for the Germany international playmaker.
Mundo Deportivo go onto state that the proposed deal was in place ‘weeks ago’ when Arsenal were keen on Turan.
The Spanish outlet does not clarify whether the offer is still on the table however, Ozil is expected to remain at Arsenal this season.

Meanwhile Fanatik claim that Ligue 1 champions Monaco are lining up a bid for the Turkey international.
Turan was signed by Barcelona from Atletico Madrid for £24 million back in July 2015. The former Galatasaray captain was left out of the Barcelona squad which faced Alaves over the weekend.
