Mesut Ozil has been left out of the PFA Team of the Year despite experiencing his best season in north London since joining.
The Team of the Year has been dominated by players from Tottenham and Leicester City.
West Ham United’s Dimitri Payet has also been included in the team.
PFA Premier League Team of the Year:
David De Gea, Danny Rose, Toby Alderweireld, Wes Morgan, Hector Bellerin, Dimitri Payet, N’Golo Kante, Dele Alli, Riyad Mahrez, Harry Kane, Jamie Vardy.
Ozil currently has two years remaining on his deal with Arsenal and the Germany international seems in no hurry to sign an extension. According to the Express newspaper, Ozil wants assurances that Arsenal will strengthen their squad in the summer.
Arsenal have moved back into third place in the Premier League following their win over West Brom.
Ozil has provided 19 assists for the Gunners this season.
