Liverpool midfielder Emre Can has stated that his side awaits a tough encounter with Aston Villa this weekend.
The 22-year-old stated that theirs is no easy game in the Premier League and that it would be ‘dangerous‘ to think they were in for an easy ride.
“It is very dangerous [to think Aston Villa will be an easy game],” Emre Can told SkySports News.
“I think we have respect for every team in the Premier League and every game is very, very difficult in the Premier League and it will be a tough game, but I think we have to believe in our qualities.”
Can was rested for Liverpool’s mid-week clash with West Ham United in the FA Cup.
The Germany international is expected to return to Jurgen Klopp’s stating line-up for this weekend’s encounter with Aston Villa.
Liverpool are currently in ninth place with 35 points in 25 games and can move up to seventh place with a win against Villa.
Can has provided one assist and scored one goal in 34 appearances for Liverpool this season.
