The 22-year-old was rested for Liverpool’s mid-week clash with West Ham United in the FA Cup. Can has played a major role in the Red’s midfield since the appointment of Jurgen Klopp.

Liverpool can move up to eighth place in the league with a win over Villa.

Can has provided one assist and scored one goal in 34 appearances for Liverpool this season.
