Atletico Madrid are preparing to make a move for Besiktas’ winger Gokhan Töre according to the Spanish newspaper AS.
AS states that Atletico Madrid have spoken with Töre’s agent Ahmet Bulut who also represents Arda Turan.
The Madrid based side are reported to be preparing a €5 million bid for the 23-year-old however, Besitkas are expected to hold out for a higher price.
Töre recently told the Turkish newspaper Bugün that he intends to stay in Istanbul next season.
“I want to at least play at the Champions League and the Vodafone Arena stadium here,” Töre was quoted as saying in Bugün.
The former Chelsea man is in the best form of his career. The Turkish international winger has nine goals and 11 assists in all competitions for the Black Eagles this season. The explosive winger had yet to record a single league goal before this season.
Töre parted ways with the Blues in 2011 to join Hamburg. The Turkish international joined Beşiktaş from Rubin Kazan for €5.5 million last summer and has three-years left on his contract.
