Barcelona can still qualify, says Turkey international Arda Turan

Turkey international Arda Turan has revealed that he still believes Barcelona can eliminate PSG from the Champions League despite losing the first-leg of the Last 16 tie 4-0 in Paris.

Barca suffered a humiliating defeat at the Parc de Paris stadium but can still turn things round at the Camp Nou however, no side has ever turned around a four goal deficit in a Champions League knockout tie.

The La Liga giants would have to score at least four goals to stand any chance of progressing to the next round but Turan has not given up hope.

The Turkey international shared an Instagram post of Barca fans alongside the caption: “Aun no se acabo…” which translates to ‘It’s still not over’.

Turan did not feature against PSG due to injury but he is expected to recover in time for the return leg.

The 30-year-old has been included in Barcelona’s Champions League squad and will be eligible to play if head coach Luis Enrique gives him the nod.

Turan has been in good form this season scoring 13 times and providing seven assists, his most impressive run since moving to Spain from Galatasaray.

Messi, Suarez and Neymar failed to take a single shot on target against PSG. Meanwhile Barca faced 10 shots on target against the Ligue 1 outfit which is the most they have faced since the 2003-04 season against Bayer Leverkusen.

The French giants became the sixth side to score four goals in a Champions League game against Barcelona joining, Milan, Chelsea, Bayern Munich, Dynamo Kiev and Valencia.
