Barcelona green light January transfer for Arsenal target, €20m price tag set

Barcelona are prepared to sell out of favour attacking midfielder Arda Turan for €20 million according to Turkish sports newspaper Fanatik.

Per the source, the La Liga giants are prepared to part ways with Turan in January if his valuation is met.

The report claims that while there is interest in the attacking midfielder no official bids have yet to be launched.

Barcelona are also open to the possibility of loaning Turan until the end of the season.

Arsenal have been closely linked with the 30-year-old according to the Mirror.

Mundo Deportivo reported that Galatasaray held talks with Turan in Istanbul – which was subsequently denied by Galatasaray sporting director Cenk Ergun.

“There was no meeting between Dursun Ozbek and Arda Turan, I was surprised to read about it in the newspapers, it is not just a lie it is a total and utter fabrication,” Ergun was quoted as saying by Turkish-Football.

Turan’s agent Ahmet Bulut did recently confirm that he is in talks over a January transfer and that one of the interested clubs is from the Premier League.

“I have been in talks with four clubs, everything will be sorted in 15 days,” Bulut was quoted as saying by Turkish-Football.

“Turan will either be loaned out or sold, there are offers from the Premier League, Spain and Italy.”

Turan has yet to play a single minute of competitive football under the stewardship of Ernesto Valverde.
