Barcelona legend Xavi has revealed that he is fond of Arda Turan and that he has been impressed with how quickly the bearded winger has adapted to the playing style of the club.
Xavi told Mundo Deportivo: “Arda is adapting well and has plenty of experience from Galatasaray and Atleti. No one gave him anything he earned it. I like a lot, really.”
Turan joined Barcelona on a five-year deal from Ateltico Madrid but had to wait until the turn of the year to make his debut due to the FIFA transfer ban imposed on the club.
The ban was lifted on the first day of 2016 and Turan made his debut soon after in the Spanish Cup clash against Espanyol that Barcelona won 4-1.
The Spanish champions have won all eight games Turan has featured in since and also has two assists to his name in all competitions this season .
The Turkish international star is expected to feature for Barcelona against Celta Vigo today at the Camp Nou after being rested mid-week in the Copa del Rey semi-final clash against Valencia.
