Barcelona could offer one of three players to Arsenal for Hector Bellerin

Barcelona are plotting a part-exchange deal for Arsenal full-back Hector Bellerin according to Mundo Deportivo.

Per the source, Barca are prepared to offer cash and a player for the Arsenal star.

The report claims that the La Liga giants are planning for Arsenal to lower their £35 million asking price by including one of Denis Suarez, Rafinha or Arda Turan in the deal.

The three players named for the exchange have all been transfer listed by Barca.

Turan has another three-years remaining on his contract but has been closely linked with a summer exit.

Barca are also hoping that the lure of Champions League football will encourage Bellerin to ditch Arsenal.

The Gunners will feature in the Europa League this season after finishing the league outside the top-four for the first time in 20 years.

Bellerin was a former Barcelona player, having developed at the La Liga outfit until his move to Arsenal in 2011.

Barcelona have struggled in the full-back position since the departure of Dani Alves to Juventus.

Alves’ replacements including the likes of Sergi Roberto and Aleix Vidal have failed to impress.

  1. Although it would be terrible to lose another player we have taken from relative obscurity and developed into a star, the loss of Bellerin maybe not a disaster if the right replacement was signed. Much as we all love to see him bombing down the wing, he is often missing in defence at crucial times. I think a more solid right back with the Ox in front of him could be an improvement. I actually thought Debuchy was a better defender but injuries have seemed to have sadly ended that option

    • I agree. IMO Bellerin is overrated and if we can get anywhere near £35m and a player like Arda thrown in it would be a bargain
