Barcelona star Arda Turan extends condolences following death of Beko boss Mustafa Koc

Barcelona star Arda Turan has extended his condolences to the family of Mustafa Koç who passed away today in Istanbul.

Turan took to social media to share a tweet in honour of the Koç holding CEO.

Koç was the eldest son of billionaire businessman Rahmi Koç and was appointed chairman of the family holding in 2003.

Barcelona sponsor Beko is also a part of Koç holding and was rumoured to have played a role in bringing Turan to the club over the summer from Atletico Madrid.

The CEO of Barcelona Josep Maria Bartomeu also extended his condolences to via a tweet on his official twitter account.

Beko have sponsored Barcelona since 2014 when they signed a four year deal with the Spanish giants.

Barcelona also have partnership deals with two other Turkish firms including Lassa as well as Turkish Airlines.

The holding is the 341st largest in the world and the only Turkish company to feature on the Fortune 500 list.
