Arda Turan only joined six-months ago from Atletico Madrid but what struck him was how much his teammates still have a desire to win despite having already won everything.
Turan told Mundo Deportivo in a recent interview: “Despite all the trophies they have won, I see my teammates training with the same motivation as if they had won nothing – Andres, Busi, Ivan [Rakitic], Dani [Alves]… they have won it all, but they are still very motivated.”
The Turkish international winger has also won every domestic title in Spain and almost every trophy in Europe except the Champions League.
Turan was however, part of the Atletico Madrid that made it all the way to the 2014 final only to lose to rivals Real Madrid.
The bearded winger would love to win the competition at Barcelona but no side has ever won the Champions League back-to-back.
Barca have made a habit of breaking records this season having gone 35 matches unbeaten in all competitions shattering the 26 year old record formally held by Real Madrid.
The 29-year-old joined Barca over the summer so has has yet to win a trophy with his new club but the reigning champions are first in the league, in the Spanish Cup final and just beat Arsenal in the Champions League Last 16 first-leg clash at the Emirates.
