Barcelona suffer injury blow ahead critical Sporting game
Barcelona have suffered an injury blow ahead of tonight’s encounter with Sporting Gijon.
A source close to Arda Turan has revealed to Turkish-Football that the Turkey international is unlikely to feature for Barcelona tonight and that Turan has been left out of Luis Enrique’s squad.
Turan has been struggling with an adductor muscle injury in recent weeks but did re-join first team training last week. However, the former Galatasaray man has failed a late fitness test ahead of Barcelona’s fixture with Sporting.
Barcelona manager Luis Enrique spoke about Turan’s injury during the pre-match press conference.
“Mascherano and Arda have trained with the rest of the squad today and tomorrow the medical staff will confirm if they are available or not,” Enrique was quoted as saying by Sky Sports.

The reigning La Liga champions have had a busy schedule of late. Barcelona defeated Atletico Madrid on Sunday, face Sporting Gijon tonight and take on Celta Vigo this weekend.
Manager Luis Enrique will also have one eye on his sides fixture with PSG in the UEFA Champions League next week.
