Beşiktaş president Fikret Orman slammed referee Mete Kalkavan following the goalless draw with Başakşehir.
Orman stated that the Black Eagles should have been awarded a penalty and that the referee’s poor decisions had a direct impact on the game.
“There was a penalty but it was not given, had the referee done the right thing we would probably have won the game, I hope the Refereeing Central Committee start taking measures to do something about officials who keep making such glaring errors,” Orman was quoted as saying by Eurosport TR.

The Eagles will not play next week as the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) has suspended Süper Lig and Turkish Cup matches for a week following the armed attack on the Fenerbahçe team bus.
The Fenerbahçe team was making its way toward Trabzon’s airport following a 5-1 Süper Lig victory at nearby Çaykur Rizespor when the attack took place.
