Besiktas value Oguzhan Ozyakup as being worth £25.6 million a source close to the club revealed to Turkish-Football.

The Black Eagles want Ozyakup to sign a new contract deal which would include a £25.6 million release clause option.

Ozyakup will have just 12 months remaining on his contract at the end of the season but has yet to sign an extension.

The Daily Star reported that Tottenham are plotting a summer move for the Turkish international midfielder.

Besiktas may be forced into selling Ozyakup for under their valuation if he decides not to sign a new deal.

The 24-year-old joined Besiktas in 2012 from Arsenal in pursuit of first-team football.

Turkish-Football recently reported that Arsenal have also been scouting their former youth player.

Ozyakup played a key role in the Black Eagles winning the league title last season.

The Turkish international has been a major influence in Besiktas’ campaign this season. The Istanbul giants are currently first and favourites to defend the title.

Besiktas have also booked a place in the Europa League quarter-finals against Lyon.

Ozyakup has directly contributed to 63 goals since joining Besiktas – 26 goals and 37 assists.

The central midfielder scored his fourth goal of the season in the 3-0 victory over Genclerbirligi over the weekend.
