Ozyakup will enter the last 12 months of his contract at the end of the current league campaign.
The Turkish international midfielder has established himself as a key player since joining Besiktas in 2012 from Arsenal on a €500,000 move.
Ozyakup has directly contributed to 62 goals – 25 goals, 37 assists – since joining the Istanbul giants.
The 24-year-old’s impressive form has resulted in his former club Arsenal considering a move to bring him back.
Turkish-Football recently reported that the Gunners have been scouting Ozyakup and that they could make an offer.
Arsenal scout Jurgen Kost was quoted as saying: “Ozyakup is a player of the highest standard, we have been closely tracking his progress and when we do our next search for players in his position he could return to Arsenal.”
Turkish outlet Fanatik meanwhile report that Roma have also joined the race for the Turkish international midfielder.
Ozyakup was called up to the Turkish national side over the international break and provided an impressive assist in the 3-1 victory over Moldova.
The Besiktas star has two goals and one assist in 25 appearances for Turkey.
