Carlos Zambrano strongly hints at imminent transfer to Galatasaray

Carlos Zambrano has hinted at a move to Galatasaray after posting a tweet thanking Galatasaray fans for their support.

The Peruvian defender replied to Galatasaray fans tweets welcoming him to the Istanbul based club.

Zambrano posted a tweet with the following message, “Thanks to all Galatasaray fans for all the support! I try to read all your messages !! But now I’m focusing on my national team ! thank you all for your good vibes! maybe in the future we can see each other!”

There has been no official word on the deal so far but numerous Turkish newspapers have linked the 25-year-old with Galatasaray.

Zambrano’s current contract with Frankfurt expires at the end of the month meaning he can sign for Galatasaray on  a free transfer.

The Peruvian international made 17 Bundesliga appearances for Frankfurt last season.

Galatasaray ended the 2014-15 season with 77 points following their 1-1 draw with Rizespor in their final game of the season.

The Istanbul giants will qualify directly for the Champions League group stages next season.
