Chelsea defender reveals Robin van Persie is one of the toughest strikers he has played against
Chelsea defender Kenneth Omeruo has revealed that Robin van Persie is one of the toughest strikers he has ever played against.
Omeruo gave an interview to Nigerian outlet Completesportnigeria and was asked which strikers gave him the most trouble.
“Robin Van Persie and some other forwards were tough as well. But I deal with attackers differently. I play my own game against everyone,” he was quoted as saying.

You may be thinking Omeruo played against Van Persie during his time at Manchester United but in fact the Nigerian international has never actually played for the Blues.
The 23-year-old has yet to make a single appearance for Chelsea since joining in 2008.
Omeruo faced Van Persie during his loan stints at Kasimpasa and Alanyaspor.
The Dutch striker joined Fenerbahce from Manchester United in 2015.
The last time Omeruo faced Van Persie was in Alanyaspor’s 3-2 defeat against Fenerbahce on Friday 10 March 2017.
The Nigerian defender ended up scoring an own goal.
Omeruo made a total of 26 appearances in all competitions for Alanyaspor last season.
The young centre-back has yet to find out whether Antonio Conte has plans for him next season or if he will be loaned out for the fifth time.
