Fenerbahce star Simon Kjaer has been closely linked with a move to the Premier League over the first half of the season.
A source close to Fenerbahce revealed to Turkish-Football that Chelsea have been keeping tabs on the Denmark international.
Chelsea have not made an offer for Kjaer but transfer rumours linking the powerful defender with a move to the Blues have been hotting up.
Chelsea have been linked with defensive targets in the January transfer window including AS Monaco star Tiemoue Bakayoko according to the Evening Standard.
Kjaer is expected to stay at Fenerbahce until the end of the season and revealed his goals before he considers leaving the club in a recent interview.
The 27-year-old stated that he will not leave the club until he wins trophies at the club.
“I won’t talk about leaving until I win trophies here, I want to win the league title here and that is all that is on my mind,” Kjaer was quoted as saying by Fotomac.
Kjaer has been in impressive form for Fenerbahce this season and was named in the UEFA Europa League Team of the Group Stage.
The Yellow Canaries ended up topping Group A which also featured Manchester United and Kjaer wrapped up the group campaign with two goals in six games.
Kjaer still has another two-years remaining on his contract and has a total of three goals and one assist in 23 appearances for Fenerbahce this season.
