Fenerbahce take on Kayserispor at the Kadir Has Stadium on Friday in the Super Lig hoping to win their third successive game.
Chelsea loanee Victor Moses has hit the ground running at Fenerbahce coming on twice as a second-half substitute and scored in the 2-0 victory over Goztepe last week.
Moses has been named on the bench again for Fenerbahce but has already become a ‘cult figure’ according to European football journalist Andy Brassel.
“The interesting thing is that he’s become a cult hero straight away because he’s the sort of player that Fenerbahce fans love,” Andy Brassell told the ‘ On the Continent ‘ podcast.
“He dares to do stuff and in a climate that’s been wracked with fear really because the stakes are so high, if you go down it’s an absolute disaster – you can’t really use the word ‘disaster’ in sport – but they would definitely used that there.
“He’s someone who comes into that context without being affected by it. He comes on as a sub against Goztepe and wants to try tricks, he wants to dribble around players.
“Obviously it’s so much easier to spread your wings a) under that climate and b) when Cameron Jerome has been sent off for the visitors.”
Moses is likely to be brought on at some stage in the second-half.
Meanwhile, Miha Zajc has also been named on the bench for the first time since completing his move from Empoli in January and stands to make his debut tonight.
Tolgay Arslan who joined from Besiktas over the winter transfer window will make his first start tonight.
Former Galatasaray defender who also joined Fenerbahce in January has also got the nod.
