Chelsea & Tottenham target linked with Turkish Super Lig move

Liverpool transfer news

Besiktas have been linked with a summer move for the Croatia international striker Mario Mandzukic.

The Turkish newspaper Milliyet claim that the Turkish Super Lig leaders will make a move for Mandzukic if Mario Gomes leaves in the summer.

Gomez is in great form for the Istanbul giants having scored 26 times this season and surpassing the all time record for goals scored in a league campaign which stood at 21

However, Besiktas will face competition from Premier League giants Chelsea and Tottenham according to the Express.

The daily paper goes onto state that Tottenham have already tabled an offer for the 29-year-old as they look to build upon an impressive season.

Besiktas take on their Istanbul rivals Galatasaray this weekend as they look to preserve their lead at the top of the table. The Black Eagles currently find themselves in pole position in the league with 73 points in 31 games, three points ahead of Fenerbahce.
