Liverpool will be hoping Subotic’s relationship with manager Jurgen Klopp will hand them an advantage. The Serbia international won two Bundesliga titles under Klopp between 2010 and 2012.

The 28-year-old is expected to leave Dortmund this summer. The German club are looking to cash in on Subotic before his contract expires next summer.

Dortmund take on Freiburg in their next Bundesliga fixture on September 9.
