Fenerbahce’s star centre-back Simon Kjaer has stated that he has no desire to leave Fenerbahce this summer.
The Denmark international reiterated that he is not actively looking for another club and is happy with life in Istanbul.
“I have no desire to leave Fenerbahce this summer and I am definitely not looking actively for another club,” Kjaer told Goal.
“I am happy in a huge club like Fenerbahce and I love the passion of our fans. I am also a very passionate person about my football and I see myself in their passion.
“And, of course, Istanbul is a wonderful place to live – with interesting culture, great nature and a fabulous climate, especially when you come from cold Denmark! These are things that my family and I enjoy immensely.”
Chelsea have been closely linked with Kjaer over the past few months and have been keeping tabs on the Denmark international according to Fanatik.
Kjaer still has another three-years on his deal with Fenerbahce and a source close to the player told Turkish-football.com that despite the transfer rumours Chelsea have not made an offer.
Fenerbahce finished the league as runners up but have the chance to win silverware this season in the cup final tonight.
