Emre Can has taken to social media to congratulate his Liverpool teammate Cristian Benteke following the Red’s win over Crystal Palace.
The Belgium international came off the bench to score the winner late in injury time.
Can uploaded a picture of himself celebrating alongside Benteke with the caption, “What a comeback with 10 man on the pitch!!! Very happy for @christianbenteke performance and goal.”
Can was one of the star’s of the show during Liverpool’s 2-1 victory over Palace.
The Germany international worked assiduously trying to break up Palace attacks and was a threat going forwards making the highest number of successful dribbles (5).
Can of Turkish origin was hugely influential both defensively and in the final third. The former Bayern Munich man made the highest number of passes for his side with 83 percent accuracy helping his side retain possession even when down to 10 men.
The Liverpool midfielder was named ‘man of the match’ for his all-action role during his sides victory.
