Liverpool midfielder Emre Can has stated that winning trophies is the best feeling in the world.

The Red’s take on Manchester City in the League Cup final on Sunday. Can is expected to keep his place in Jurgen Klopp’s starting line-up.

The 22-year-old won the German Supercup final against Borussia Dortmund while at Bayern Munich back in 2012.

“I played one Supercup final [in 2012] against Borussia Dortmund and against Jurgen Klopp for Bayern Munich and we won and that is the biggest game I’ve had in my career so far,” Can was quoted as saying by Eurosport.

“I think it is the best feeling in the world to win trophies and that is what I could do in the Supercup and that is what I want more times.”

Can played the full 90 minutes during Liverpool’s 1-0 victory over FC Augsburg in the Europa League earlier this week.

The Germany international was deployed in central midfield alongside Milner and club captain Jordan Henderson.

Can has provided one assist and scored two goals in 34 appearances for Liverpool this season.

If Liverpool win on Sunday it will be their first piece of silverware since they won the League cup back in 2012.
