Can is expected to move into the Liverpool midfield next season following the departure of captain Steven Gerrard.
The 21-year-old has however, played predominantly as defender this season in Brendan Rodgers back-three.
Can has however, been used as a right-back recently following injury to Mamadou Sakho.
Aldridge is not along, the likes of Dietmar Hamann and Kolo Toure have both called for Can to play in midfield.
TalkSport pundit Danny Murphy also echoed a similar desire to see Can moved into a midfield role.
“I really want to see Emre Can moved forward into midfield next season,” Murphy told TalkSport.
