Emre Can is a ‘transformed player’ under Brendan Rodgers says Liverpool legend [divider]
Former Liverpool player and football pundit Dietmar Hamann has praised Brendan Rodgers who getting the best out of his players and the team.
Hamann singled out Emre Can as a player who has been transformed under Rodgers in the Reds three-man defence.
“They lost 3-0 [at Old Trafford] but played well. Brendan has stuck with his guns, played three at the back, with Emre Can a transformed player, and they have a got a much better balance,” Hamann told Sky Sports News HQ.

Can joined Liverpool as a central midfielder from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer but has played much of the season as a key member of Brendan Rodgers three-man defence.
Liverpool have not lost a Premier League game in which Can has started in defence this season.
Hamann also revealed that he believes Liverpool can beat Manchester United and finish the season in the top four.
“They are the team with the momentum to take them into the top four,” he added.
Liverpool finished last season as runners up in the league and qualified directly for the Champions League.
