Liverpool star midfielder Emre Can has issued a contract update following months of speculation.

The Germany international has been closely linked with a move away from the Merseyside based club after failing to put pen-to-paper on a new deal. Can has under four months remaining on his contract with the Merseyside based club.

According to SkySports, Liverpool have been in negotiations with Can over a new deal, however, a deal is yet to be agreed.

Per the source, Can said “he did not know whether any decision had yet been reached on where he will be in the summer.”

The 24-year-old has remained a key member of Jurgen Klopp’s starting eleven despite the on-going contract saga.
