Liverpool midfielder Emre Can revealed that he has followed the FA Cup since he was a kid in a recent interview with the official club website.

“I’ve followed the FA Cup since I was a kid. It’s a great cup competition and there’s a great chance to get to the final,” Can said.

Liverpool qualified for the FA Cup quarter-finals following their 2-1 win over Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Saturday 14 February.

Can completed the highest number of passes for his side (80) at an impressive 87.5 percent accuracy and was rated at 7.23 by Whoscored.

The 21-year-old started in defence for the 12th consecutive time agianst Palace.

Can has adapted well to his new role as a defender under Brendan Rodgers.

Liverpool take on Beşiktaş next in the Europa League Round of 32 clash at Anfield. The first-leg will be played on 19 February 2015 and the return-leg will be in Istanbul on 26 February 2015.
