The 21-year-old also hit the cross-bar from a long range effort and relished being played in his preferred midfield role.
Can has actually started in defence for the last 10 Liverpool games in all competitions despite being signed as a central midfielder.
The Liverpool youngster is expected to play on the weekend against Everton in the Merseyside derby but Reds boss Brendan Rodgers will have to decide whether he sticks with Can in defence or plays him in a central midfield role.
