Euro giants want £17m for star midfielder on Man United transfer list, Arsenal also in race for ex youth star
Besiktas value star midfielder Oguzhan Ozykaup as being worth €20 [£17] million according to Fanatik.
The Turkish sports newspaper report that Besiktas have been alerted to growing interest in Ozyakup.
Per the source, Ozyakup is on the Man United transfer list and Roma as well as Atletico Madrid are also plotting moves.
Ozyakup will have just 12 months remaining on his contract at the end of the season.
Besiktas president Fikret Orman has confirmed that Ozyakup will be offered a new deal.
The Black Eagles are however, preparing themselves for the prospect of Ozyakup not signing.
The Fanatik report claims that if worse comes to worse Besiktas could accept a €15 [£12m] million offer.
United could face competition from Tottenham for Ozyakup’s signature according to the Daily Star.
Ozyakup is no stranger to the Premier League having risen through the ranks at Arsenal along with Jack Wilshere and Francis Coquelin.
The Turkish international midfielder left North London for Istanbul in 2012 in pursuit of first team football.
The Gunners could also join the race for Ozyakup this summer following comments made by team scout Jurgen Kost.
Arsenal scout Jurgen Kost was quoted by Turkish-Football as saying: “Ozyakup is a player of the highest standard, we have been closely tracking his progress and when we do our next search for players in his position he could return to Arsenal.”
