Euro giants pour cold water on £12m Tottenham transfer but could be forced to sell if contract deal continues to stall

Galatasaray have rejected reports linking Bruma with a move to the Premier League side Tottenham.

The Istanbul giants released a statement on their official website issuing a hands off warning for their star winger.

Galatasaray stated that no agreement is in place between themselves and Tottenham over the sale of Bruma.

“There is no official offer to reach us, just as there is no secret agreement for the price [with] the club that has been named [Tottenham],” Galatasaray stated.

However, The Portugal u21 international’s future at Galatasaray remains uncertain as contract talks between the Lions and Bruma have stalled.

Bruma’s contract with Galatasaray expires in a little over 12 months. The Istanbul giants may be forced into selling Bruma this summer if they are unable to strike a new deal.

The 22-year-old’s representative in Turkey, Marco Kirdemir revealed to Turkish-Football that he has received offers from the Premier League.

“I have received offers for Bruma, Premier League sides are interested in him and he is more than capable of playing in that league,” Kirdemir said.

The Sun newspaper also linked Manchester United with an move for the Galatasaray star back in November.

The in-demand winger has racked up eight goals and eight assists in 30 apperances for Galatasaray this season.
