Besiktas are prepared to sell star midfielder Oguzhan Ozyakup over the summer according to reports in Turkey.

Turkish sports newspaper Fanatik report that the Black Eagles promised head-coach Senol Gunes that they will make the necessary replacements if Ozyakup does leave.

Per the source, Ozyakup has a £10.5 million [€12m] release clause.

Besiktas are reportedly prepared to sell Ozyaup and defender Marcelo over the summer.

The Black Eagles are under Financial Fair Play (FFP) pressure and selling two of their highest value players would give the board more flexibility in the transfer market.

Turkish-Football have reported that Arsenal have been closely linked with a move for their former academy player.

Arsenal scout Jurgen Kost stated that he has been keeping tabs on the 24-year-old.

Kost was quoted by Turkish-Football as saying: “Ozyakup is a player of the highest standard, we have been closely tracking his progress and when we do our next search for players in his position he could return to Arsenal.”

Ozyakup rose through the ranks at the North London based outfit alongside Jack Wilshere and Francis Coquelin.

All three players starred in the Arsenal side that won the 2009 Youth FA Cup.
