Everton Boss Phoned Cenk Tosun Directly In Bid To Complete Transfer
Everton manager Sam Allardyce has already confirmed interest in Besiktas striker Cenk Tosun.
Allardyce has gone one step further and directly contacted the striker according to football pundit Serdar Sarıdağ.
“Sam Allardyce phoned Cenk directly,” Sarıdağ said speaking live on A Spor.
“Sam told Cenk he wants him at Everton and went over where he fits in his plans.
“It is a really important development, Sam has made it clear to Cenk he values him I think it could be decisive.”
Tosun is currently in England. The 26-year-old has been in London since new years eve waiting for a development.
Turkish-Football reported that Tosun has agreed personal terms with Everton and expects the deal to go through.
Tosun will sign a four-and-a-half year deal if the transfer goes ahead as planned.
The Turkey international is waiting for Besiktas to give the green light to travel to Merseyside and complete the transfer.
Besiktas have yet to make an official statement regarding the latest developments but club president Fikret Orman returned from his trip to South Africa yesterday.
Orman has called a board meeting regarding the Tosun situation. An announcement is expected imminently.
