Everton Confident Of Beating Southampton for £20m Arsenal Star Who Could End Up Being A Boost For Cenk Tosun

Everton are confident of beating Southampton in the race to land Arsenal star Theo Walcott for £20million according to the Daily Mail.

Per the source, the Gunners are considering letting Walcott leave over the winter transfer break.

Walcott did formerly play for Southampton but the Toffees are favorites to land the England international.

Everton would be able to get closet to Walcott’s current wages worth £110,000 per week – Southampton would struggle to match the winger’s demands.

Walcott would become the latest attacking based player to join the Toffees after Cenk Tosun.

The 28-year-old is a winger but can also play as a forward.

Everton have struggled for goals this season scoring just 25 goals – only Burnely have scored fewer in the top 10.

Tosun is expected to make his debut against Tottenham on the weekend.

Walcott does not appear to feature in Wenger’s plans this season scoring just four times in 15 appearances for the Gunners in all competitions.

The Arsenal man has one-and-a-half years remaining on his current contract.
