Fenerbahçe have released a statement denying being in talks with Valencia midfielder Feghouli.
The statement read: “Reports today in the Fotomaç and Takvim newspapers linking Fenerbahçe with Januzaj and Feghouli are false. We are not planning to sign either player.”
The Hurriyet also reported that the Yellow Canaries have set their sights on the Algerian international.
The Turkish newspaper claimed that Fenerbahçe sporting director Giuliano Terraneo has held early talks with Valencia.
Tottenham were also closely linked with the Algeria international by the Daily Star earlier this year. The Premier League club sent scouts to monitor Feghouli’s performances but are yet to table an offer.
Valencia are understood to be holding out for €10 million for their attacking midfielder.
Fenerbahçe also denied making a loan bid for Manchester United midfielder Adnan Januzaj today. The Belgium international would have become the third former United player at the club had the move gone ahead.
Former United stars Van Persie and Luis Nani both joined the Istanbul giants last month. Also Lille defender Simon Kjaer, 2014-15 Süper Lig top scorer Fernandao, Turkish international Şener Özbayraklı and Brazil international Josef De Souza have also signed over the transfer window.
Fenerbahçe kick-off the 2015-15 league campaign against Eskişehirspor on the weekend.
