Former British Ambassador to Turkey Reveals Who He Wished Had Joined Chelsea Over Everton
Former British Ambassador Richard Moore to Turkey became a cult hero among Besiktas fans after declaring his support for the club.
Moore often attended Besiktas games at the Vodafone Arena and appeared on football shows talking about his adopted team.
Twitter was where he really made a name for himself among Besiktas fans with his witty tweets in support of the Black Eagles.
Cenk Tosun was star striker for Besiktas during Moore’s time in Turkey.
The former ambassador revealed he will ‘promise’ to look after Tosun in England following his move to Premier League outfit Everton.
Besiktas fans bombarded Moore with tweets urging him to help the striker settle in.
Moore did however, reveal that he was disappointed he joined the Toffees instead of Chelsea – who he supports.
