Galatasaray manager Hamza Hamzaoğlu has confirmed interest in Bursaspor striker Fernandao.

“He [Fernandao] would be great alongside Burak in a 4-4-2,” Hamzaoğlu told Fanatik.

“The two work work really well together, he could also fit into a 4-2-3-1 setup as the centre forward with Burak and Umut on the wings.

“He is a versatile player who would add a lot of quality to our attack, he holds the ball up well and is dangerous in the box, if we can strike a good deal for him he would be a great January addition.”

Fernandao is currently on loan at Bursaspor from Atlético-PR. The Green Crocodiles have a €5 million buyout clause which remains active until the end of the season.

The 27-year-old striker has 11 goals and one assist in all competitions this season.

Galatasaray are currently in third place on 35 points just one point behind league leaders Fenerbahçe.
