Godin – ‘Our aim is to beat Leverkusen in Germany’ [divider]
Atletico Madrid defender Diego Godin has underlined that his side aim to beat Bayer Leverkusen at the BayArena ahead of the Champions League Last 16 first-leg game.
Godin did however, admit that Atleti would also be happy with scoring away goals.
“Our aim is to beat Leverkusen in Germany, but mainly to score away goals. That’s crucial in a UEFA Champions League knockout tie,” Godin told the official UEFA website.

Godin has four goals and two assists in 34 appearances for Atleti this season and played an important role in the side that reached the Champions League final last season.
The Uruguayan defender also featured in the Atleti side that won the La Liga title last season.
The Rojiblancos could be without Turkish international star Arda Turan due to injury.
The 28-year-old has however, travelled to Germany and has been included in the team squad.
Turan played in the La Liga champions 2-0 win over Almeria on the weekend.
