Real Madrid legend Guti has heaped praise on the club’s current squad, calling them even better than the famous “Galácticos” era.

In an interview with Oku.Az, Guti highlighted the team’s talented young players, stating they “will mark a turning point for Real Madrid.”

Guti’s comments come amidst a period of transition for Real Madrid, with a focus on promoting young talent alongside established stars.

This approach seems to be paying dividends, with youngsters like Vinicius Jr., Rodrygo, and Federico Valverde making significant contributions.

“This squad is better than the Galácticos. There are very good players, almost all of them are young. They will mark a turning point for Real Madrid. Ancelotti gives Arda the chance to play more. He is a very interesting player. A goalscorer with great final passes, Güler will be a more prominent midfielder in the coming seasons,” Guti said.

Guti, a Real Madrid icon from 1995 to 2010, enjoyed a trophy-laden career with the club, winning five La Liga titles and three Champions League trophies.

His comments hold weight, reflecting his deep understanding of the club’s identity and playing philosophy.

Guti’s praise suggests a strong belief in the current squad’s potential to build a new era of success for Real Madrid.

The club’s commitment to youth development, coupled with the guidance of experienced players, could propel them to continued dominance in European football.

Guler has seen his playing time increase this season and is part of the first team setup. He did not start in the 3-1 win over Stuttgart in the Champions League midweek but did come on off the bench and has already made four appearances in La Liga this term.

Real will face Espanyol next on Saturday 21 September.
