Bayer Leverkusen beat Atletico Madrid 1-0 at the BayArena in the Champions League Last 16 thanks to a superb goal from Hakan Çalhanoğlu.

The 21-year-old has now scored nine times and provided seven assists in all competitions for the Bundesliga outfit.

Çalhanoğlu completed 58 passes at an 81 percent accuracy and was given an 8.07 rating by Whoscored.

The Bayer star involved in a lot of the attacking moves but the main talking point was his goal.

The Turkish international picked up a backheel from Karim Bellarabi and finished in style.

Çalhanoğlu revealed he was delighted with the goal after the game.

“I controlled the pass well and shot the ball with all my power,” Çalhanoğlu told Eurosport TR after the game.
