‘He Offers Nothing, Sideways Pass Master’ – Arsenal fans react to reports that midfielder could be on his way to Turkey on social media
Reports that Elneny could be on his way to Galatasaray have been heating up.
Turkish outlet Fotospor were the first to break the story after claiming Galatasaray Director of Football Cenk Ergun traveled to London for talks with Arsenal officials.
Galatasaray are looking for a central midfielder to replace Nigel De Jong and are hopeful that the promise of first team football will lure Elneny into making the move.
The story was later picked up in the British press and became a hotly debated topic across social media.

To be fair not everyone seems bothered whether Elneny stays or leaves.

It seems not all Arsenal fans would miss him if he left.
Mohamed Elneny increasingly linked to Galatasaray. Would be happy with that, but only if it meant we got a new elite CM. pic.twitter.com/MQtGhc0B4A

He’s simply not up to PL standard, not solid enough, lack of aggressiveness

There are however, a group of fans who feel otherwise.

Should Arsenal be demanding more for Elneny?
The Mirror only recently claimed that Leicester City agreed a £10 million fee with Arsenal for Elneny.
Per the source, the Egyptian midfielder ended up turning down the move.
Wenger need to check this one this is how they do business in football ⚽ he should stop thinking that he can do more than the rest ? pic.twitter.com/6I1XYlB7oh

Decent squad player. Why sell? And for so little?

Underrated, worth more, another wasted player, all because Wenger didn’t sign him but the board did

Other fans couldn’t understand why Coquelin was given a new deal while Elneny is being linked with a exit.
Is Elneny being unfairly treated?
I’d rather coquelin go

I’d rather keep him tbh, coquelin should go instead! #notgoodenough

It’s a bit misunderstanding he’s talking about Bayern and Chelsea in pre season but anyway Coquelin is arguably the worst player in the team

Absolute travesty that Coquelin got a new contract and Elneny might be sold //t.co/YI5x9QR074
