Hertha Berlin to rival Arsenal in pursuit of Turkey international star

Oguzhan Ozyakup continues to face an uncertain future at Besiktas as his contract dwindles down.

Ozyakup has six months remaining on his contract but has yet to sign a new deal.

The Turkish international will be a free agent at the end of the season if an agreement over an extension.

The 25-year-old has attracted widespread interest from across Europe.

Hertha Berlin have become the latest side to join the race for Ozyakup according to Fanatik.

Per the source, the Bundesliga outfit will make a bid in January and have already entered talks with Besiktas.

The Istanbul giants have yet to make a decision on whether to cash in or try to push through a new contract deal.

Arsenal have also been closely linked with their former academy player.

The Aksam newspaper claims the Gunners are prepared to offer £11 million for their former academy product.

Additionally the North London based outfit are also ready to waiver their 30 percent sale clause.

Arsenal stand to make 30 percent of the transfer fee if Besiktas sell Ozyakup.

The midfielder left Arsenal for Besiktas five years ago on a £500,000 transfer.

Ozyakup has played an important role in Besiktas winning back to back league titles.
