“He’s a bottler” – Tottenham fans take to social media to roast Vincent Janssen after he he rejected Premier League duo
Vincent Janssen has hit the ground running following his move to Turkish Super League giants Fenerbahce earlier this month.
The Netherlands international has scored two goals in two games for the Yellow Canaries, including a goal against their biter rivals Besiktas in the Istanbul derby last weekend.
Janssen recently confirmed to the Turkish outlet Fanatik that he turned down moves to the Premier League duo Brighton and Hove Albion and West Bromwich Albion during the summer to join Fenerbahce on loan.
“I could have joined West Brom or Brighton, but what would have happened had I joined one of them? I do not want to think about it,” Janssen told Fanatik.
The comments have not gone down well with Tottenham supporters. Spurs fans have labelled Janssen as “weak mentality”, others believe “he’s a bottler”.

He might think Turkey is the still the big time, but banging them in to prove a point in the best league in the world would have been wiser.

Taken the easy route out by joining an inferior league. Weak mentality. I hope he smashes in a ton of goals in Turkey and we recoup our cash

Fenerbahce will be hoping Janssen can make it three in three this weekend when they take on Akhisar Belediyespor. Tottenham meanwhile face the newly promoted Huddersfield in the Premier League on Saturday.
