“I have spoken with Ozil” – Ex-international star reveals £42m Arsenal playmaker’s future plans

Arsenal star playmaker Mesut Ozil has been linked with a move away from the north London-based club in recent months.

The 28-year-old has failed to pen a new deal with the Gunners and could end up leaving the club for free next summer when his contract expires.

Former Turkey international Ridvan Dilmen has poured cold water on speculation linking Ozil with an Arsenal exit. The football pundit stated that he has spoken with Ozil and that the Germany international isn’t keen on a move to Turkey.

“I have been reading reports linking Ozil with a move to Fenerbahce over the last couple days.

“I have spoken with Ozil, he definitely is not thinking about making a move to the Turkish Super Lig.”

Ozil’s agent Dr Erkut Sogut also revealed that Ozil wants remain in the Premier League football for another three years.

“Ozil wants to play another 2-3 years in the Premier League,” Dr Sogut told the Fanatik.

“Talks with Arsenal are ongoing regarding a new deal, what I can say right now is that negotiations are going well.”

Ozil has recovered from a knee injury which ruled him out of Arsenal’s last two games and Germany’s national team squad.

The 28-year-old is expected to be fit for the Watford clash later on today. Ozil made the move to Arsenal from Real Madrid back in 2013 for £42 million.
